About Kuala Lumpur Tower

Kuala Lumpur Tower, often called Menara KL, rises 421 m above a patch of protected rainforest in the city centre, making it one of the few places in the world where a major tower sits within an urban forest reserve. Built mainly for telecommunications, the tower also offers public observation decks and a revolving restaurant that gives diners a slowly changing view of the skyline.

From the indoor and open-air decks, visitors can see many of Kuala Lumpur's other landmarks, including the nearby Petronas Twin Towers, making it a useful complement to a visit there. The tower is especially popular at sunset and after dark, when the city lights spread out below in every direction.
