Explore Untouched Beauty of Kumrat

A hidden emerald valley of dense forest, alpine meadows, and a river as clear as glass.

About Kumrat Valley

Kumrat Valley is one of the most beautiful and untouched corners of Upper Dir, where thick deodar forests, open green meadows and snow-capped peaks come together in a single scene. The journey usually begins from Islamabad towards Chakdara, Timergara and Dir, with the road slowly climbing into greener and cooler terrain. From Thal, the gateway village, the road follows the Panjkora River deeper into the mountains, with wooden houses, orchards and small bazaars along the way.

Jahaz Banda was a highlight of our whole trip, though the trek up is no joke. Bring good boots.

Loved camping at Do Janga by the river. Just be ready for a bumpy jeep ride from Thal.
