About The Pearl-Qatar

The Pearl-Qatar is a large artificial island off the coast of Doha's West Bay, built to resemble a string of pearls, a nod to Qatar's historic pearl diving heritage. The island is divided into several distinct districts, each with its own architectural character, from the Mediterranean-inspired marina district of Porto Arabia to the canal-lined, Venice-style Qanat Quartier.

Porto Arabia's long waterfront promenade is lined with cafes, restaurants and boutiques, overlooking a marina filled with yachts and, further out, views toward the Doha skyline. With upscale shopping, dining and residential areas, The Pearl has become one of Doha's most popular destinations for an evening stroll, a meal with a view, or simply admiring the yachts and architecture.
