About Kund Malir

Kund Malir is one of the best-known beaches along the Makran Coastal Highway. Set within Hingol National Park, it is a wide, quiet stretch of sand with clear water, backed by dry mountains and open desert sky. The N-10 highway runs right beside it and continues towards Ormara, Pasni and Gwadar.

It is one of the closest almost-unexplored beaches to Karachi, which makes it popular for weekend picnics and day trips. The drive itself is part of the experience: a smooth coastal road through cliffs, desert and rock formations.

About Kund Malir

Kund Malir Beach serves as the centerpiece of this coastal stretch, where the highway meets the sea alongside rocks, local fishing boats, and wide open views. Key highlights nearby include the natural rock formations of the Princess of Hope and the Sphinx (Lion of Balochistan), as well as Hingol National Park, which protects wildlife such as the Sindh leopard, marsh crocodiles, and various bird species around the Hingol River. The area is also rich in natural and cultural landmarks, featuring the active Chandragup mud volcanoes, the revered Hinglaj Devi cave temple, and further pristine shores like Golden Beach and Ormara along the N-10 highway. Visiting during the morning or at sunset provides cooler air, soft light, and the best natural colors across the surrounding landscape.
