Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi sits on Yas Island, a giant indoor park where whole cities from film and cartoons have been rebuilt. You can walk from the dark streets of Gotham City to the bright skyline of Metropolis, then into the Stone Age streets of Bedrock within minutes.
It opened on 25 July 2018 at a reported cost of around US$1 billion, the first Warner Bros.-branded indoor theme park in the world, covering about 1.65 million sq ft across six themed lands: Warner Bros. Plaza, Metropolis, Gotham City, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock and Dynamite Gulch. With around 29 rides, attractions and live shows, and themed restaurants and shops in each land, everything is fully air-conditioned, so it works in any season.
Adult tickets start from about AED 345, with multi-park options covering Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld. The park suits families, children, couples, friends and film and cartoon fans, for a half day to a full day visit.
Thrill rides such as Batman: Knight Flight and Justice League: Warworld Attacks sit alongside gentler family rides, and weekday mornings are quieter than weekends and school holidays.
Fly from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or another major city to Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, or fly to Dubai and drive about 1.5 hours. Check current UAE visa rules for your passport before booking.
Yas Island is about 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi airport and has hotels beside the parks, so many visitors stay there.
Drive about 30 minutes from downtown to Yas Island. Shuttles have run from Dubai for ticket holders.
Show your ticket, pick your zones, and plan the big rides and shows around queue times.
December to February
The best weather on Yas Island, but the busiest season. Book early.
October to November
Comfortable weather for the drive, with growing crowds at holidays.
March to May
Pleasant mornings and hotter days. Inside the park the weather does not matter.
June to September
Very hot outside, but the park is fully air-conditioned, so it is a smart summer choice.
Travel smart
A few useful things to know before you go there.
Height, age and health limits apply, and children must be supervised on rides.
Compare single-park and multi-park options, and check child pricing.
Indoor air-conditioning can feel cold after the heat outside.
The park is huge, so expect a lot of walking.
Most outlets take cards, and food prices inside are high.
Do the biggest rides first, before the queues build.
Loose items that are not allowed on rides should go in a locker.
Abu Dhabi is conservative, so dress modestly even at a theme park.
Including ladies-only days and school holidays, which can change access.
