About Toli Pir

High above Rawalakot, Toli Pir is a broad mountain meadow ringed by dense pine and fir forest. From the top, the land drops away in layers of green hills, and on clear days you can see far across the Pir Panjal range and the valleys of Poonch.

The pleasure of Toli Pir is in how open and quiet it feels. There are no crowded bazaars or busy viewpoints, just wide grass, cool air and a sky that seems closer than usual. It is a lovely place for a picnic, a slow walk, photography or simply sitting and watching the clouds.

In summer, the meadow is green and fresh. In winter, heavy snow can turn it into a white landscape, and roads may become difficult or closed.
