About Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is a huge gold-coloured picture frame, about 150 m tall and 93 m wide, that stands in Zabeel Park, opened in January 2018. It was built to frame two sides of Dubai at once: the older neighbourhoods on one side and the glass towers of the modern city on the other.

Visitors ride a lift up one leg to the sky bridge across the top, where a glass floor gives a view straight down. Below the bridge, a small museum tells the story of Dubai from desert village to global city. The frame is covered in a gold finish that glows in the sun, and Zabeel Park around it has paths, lawns and play areas, making it a simple, unusual and very photogenic landmark.

Good to Know

The frame suits families, couples, groups and photographers for a visit of 1 to 2 hours. The glass floor can feel a little scary for some visitors, so children should be supervised there.

Zabeel Park's playgrounds make a natural add-on for a family day, and sunset gives the best golden light on the skyline and the frame itself.
