About Gorakh Hill Station

Gorakh Hill Station rises above the dry plains of Sindh in the Kirthar range, a high, windy plateau with sweeping views, cool air and very dark night skies. It is often called the "Murree of Sindh" and is a favourite with travelers who want a very different side of the province, away from shrines, forts and cities.

The area has been developed gradually as a tourist destination, with a rough road, viewpoints and basic facilities. The journey is as much a part of the experience as the destination, with the final climb done by 4x4 jeep over a rocky track. In winter, temperatures can fall sharply and the plateau may see light snow, which draws crowds at the right time.

Whether you come for the cold, the views, the camping or the adventure, Gorakh is one of the most unusual trips in Sindh.

Basic facilities, including local huts and rest houses, support visitors on-site, with the occasional winter season bringing light snowfall to the hills.
